Welcome.
Welcome to your journey. Welcome to our culture. Welcome to Muay Thai.
Let’s begin by looking the part.
Shorts.
Yellow shorts represent the beginning of all Nak Muays’ journeys.
Come train in any brand of Yellow shorts you can find! They come in slim fit (Retro) or loose fit (Traditional) (shorts below).
Under the Muay Thai Ontario grading system, Blue Shorts is the next level a student can elevate to (no pun intended).
Gloves.
These go by weight, not by size. The lower the oz., the less padding you get, the more accuracy you will feel when you land your technique during pad work and bag work.
Express your style through colour or patterns.
Same rule applies here when buying anything - you get what you pay for. Some gloves were built to last.
Wraps.
Not just for looking badass. These are meant to protect the knuckles, stabilize the wrist and compress the bones in the hand.
Express your style through colours and patterns.
They come in 120” or 180”. The harder you hit, the more material you need. Grab more than one pair for convenience.
There’s no wrong way to wrap your hands. Look up any video and practice before class!
Pads.
Nak Muays travel with their own training gear. These are the tools that shape their weapons over time. A familiar feeling helps shape the accuracy of their weapons.
Plus, there’s the benefit of personal hygiene.
**BEWARE OF SCAMS**
If the label says:
“Made IN Thailand”, it’s authentic.
“Made FOR Thailand”, it’s FAKE, no matter who is selling it to you.
