Welcome to Elevate Muay Thai.
1. What you’ll need to get started.
(start simple. add gear as you grow.)
Gloves.
(required for all students)
We recommend 12 oz. to 14 oz.
Shorts.
(required for all students)
Choose any colour and style. They come in slim fit (Retro) or loose fit (Traditional).
Wraps.
(required for all students)
Protect your hands and wrists. Non-negotiable for safe training.
2. As you progress.
(for more interactive and technical training)
Shin guards.
For partner drills involving kicks and defensive work.
3. Sparring days.
(controlled, technical sparring is optional. our culture is growth - never ego. )
Gloves.
Minimum 12 oz.
Wraps.
Protect your wrist and hands.
Shin guards.
Protect you and your partner.
Mouth guards.
Absorb accidental impact and reduce shock through the jaw and head.
Head gear.
Optional. While head shots are light or avoided, this helps reduce impact and protect the face.
Metal protective cup.
For the boys and men. Accidents happen.
(personal equipment lets you train on and off the mats, becomes familiar and has better personal hygiene.)
4. Nice to have.
Belly pads.
Train teeps, body shots, knees and kicks.
Kick pads.
Train all Muay Thai weapons. Look for density and comfort when striking them.
